Southern California, April 2016

Finals are over!!!!!!!! It was a great feeling knowing that I was done and that my freshman year of college was over even though I was starting Spring classes 6 days later. Everyone seemed to have plans to do something or go back home for the break or for summer so I was trying to get a California trip in and luckily Crystal and Syd had a friend getting married in San Diego so we decided to roadtrip down, surprise Crystals parents and enjoy the beach for a few days. It was a long drive we but stayed a Crystals house the first night and headed down to Tijuana the next day to go to the temple and eat some street tacos. They were so worth it. Driving in Tijuana is quite scary though, I wouldn't recommend it. Afterwards, we crossed the border where we had to wait an hour because we had some citrus in our car... that was not fun. We drove to Torrey Pine State Park which is soo pretty and would recommend it to anyone that is driving through San Diego. It's a few dollars for parking but the short beach side hikes on the cliffs on the shoreline are amazing and it's an awesome place to catch the sunset. We stopped by Crystals uncles house on the way back and got some pretty great Asian food. Nice people.

The next day we drove down to San Diego and went to the LDS temple for the wedding. It's a beautiful temple. After that we went to La Jolla beach where we went for a beach run, tanned and tested the freezing water. It was a really relaxing day and it was nice to be back at the beach again. The next day we went to church and then hung out at Crystals house and ate. We went on a short hike with Crystal's family and then got ready to head back home. We left at about 8:30 at night and I made it back at around 8:00 to Sara's grandmas house to see GV and Sara before they left to San Francisco for the week.
